Andrew Stoltmann is a nationally recognized legal expert in securities litigation, securities arbitration and arbitration claims against Wall Street banks, brokerage firms, insurance companies, and registered investment advisors. He has handled over 1,200 Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA), AAA, and JAMS arbitration claims, investment related lawsuits, class action lawsuits and other complex claims on behalf of individuals, corporations and non-profit entities against all major banks and brokerage firms including JP Morgan, Merrill Lynch, Goldman Sachs, UBS, Morgan Stanley, Wells Fargo, TD Ameritrade, ETrade, Charles Schwab, Raymond James, Edward Jones, Fidelity Investments and Linsco.

Stoltmann was the President of the Public Investor Arbitration Bar Association (PIABA) from 2017-2018. PIABA is an international bar association of attorneys who represent investors in FINRA arbitration claims and investment related lawsuits. He has served on PIABA’s Board of Directors since 2013. He served as the Editor-in-Chief of the PIABA Bar Journal for five years. Currently, he is an adjunct securities law professor at Northwestern School of Law in Chicago, Illinois. He is the co-author of the book Waging War on Wall Street: My Battles Suing Banks and Brokerage Firms And How You Can Win Too with New York Times journalist John Wasik. Stoltmann also serves as a legal analyst for Fox News and CNBC. His legal commentary has appeared in the New York Times, Wall Street Journal, USA Today, Los Angeles Times, Chicago Tribune, Washington Post and other publications

Stoltmann graduated from the University of Wisconsin (Madison) in 1994 with a Bachelor of Business Administration degree. After college he worked as a Financial Advisor for Merrill Lynch in Milwaukee, Wisconsin for two years. He then attended DePaul University where he graduated with a Doctor of Jurisprudence (JD) degree in 1999. While in law school, Stoltmann clerked at the Chicago FINRA office.
