Broker Gerhard Heuer Has Customer Complaints: What Investors Can Do

While registered with Thrivent Investment Management, Heuer allegedly told a customer that his variable life universal life insurance policy “would remain in–force with the currently scheduled monthly premiums.” This was not true. He was also accused of misrepresenting material facts related to an investment. He also was accused of not properly disclosing the tax implications associated with a variable life insurance contract. Mr. Heuer was previously registered with Lutheran Brotherhood Securities in Minneapolis, Minnesota from December 1988 until July 2002 and Thrivent Investment Management in Beaverton, Oregon from July 2002 until January 2016. He is currently registered with Independent Financial Group in Beaverton and has been since January 2016. He has four customer disputes against him, one of which is currently pending.
