According to a recent Order Accepting Offer of Settlement with the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA), Craig Dima, while registered with K.C. Ward, made approximately 41 unauthorized sales of Colgate-Palmolive Company stock in the account of an elderly customer. According to the settlement, Dima made fraudulent misrepresentations and omissions to the customer in order to conceal the unauthorized trading. He then told the customer the trades were the result of computer issues, human error or statements to that effect, rather than his unauthorized trades. On 11 occasions, Dima sold all of the customer’s “blue chip” dividend-paying stock and then purchased the same amount for the customer. This cost the customer $376,000 and was deprived of dividend payments of $127,000. He also suffered an additional $72,000 from three of the unauthorized, round-trip sequences of Colgate transactions. Dima’s conduct was against securities rules and regulations and for it, he was barred from the industry.

Dima was registered with Lew Lieberbaum & Co., RM Stark & Co., Meyers Pollock Robbins, Andrew, Alexander, Wise & Company Inc., Foster Jeffries Co., La Jolla Capital Corp, IAR Securities Corp, Ash Financial Corp, Schneider Securities, Joseph Charles & Assoc., Sterling Financial Investment, First Montauke Securities Corp, Harrison Securities, LH Ross & Company, Andrew Garrett Inc., American Capital Partners, and K.C. Ward Financial in Ronkonkoma, New York from September 2009 until February 2017. He has five customer disputes against him, and one criminal disposition, according to his FINRA BrokerCheck report. He is currently not registered within the industry.
