What Did Your Brokerage Firm or Investment Adviser Do Wrong With GWG
Published On: July 15, 2015

Stoltmann Law Offices is investigating Christopher Yoon, a former Pruco Securities broker who entered into a Letter of Acceptance, Waiver and Consent (AWC) with the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA). According to Yoon’s AWC, on May 27, 2014 Yoon told the beneficiary of a client who had a life insurance policy of $650,000, the she should provide him with a blank check in the amount of $55,445.84 to pay a penalty. There was no penalty, and the client stopped the check before Yoon could make a payment on it. Also, allegedly, from September 2010 until October 2010 and from September 2011 until November 2011, Yoon forged 12 signatures in connection with two term life insurance policies, each purchasing $300,000 for a client. Yoon also made false and misleading statements regarding the forged signatures on a document for FINRA.

Yoon was registered with Pruco Securities in Paramus, New Jersey from August 2009 until September 2014. He has one customer dispute against him. FINRA permanently barred him from the securities industry and he is not licensed with any member firm. Pruco Securities, his former firm, may be liable for any investment losses you may have suffered with Christopher Yoon, as they had a duty to reasonably supervise him while he was employed there.
