Stoltmann Law Offices is investigating Louis Smookler, a former Legend broker. Smookler allegedly sold speculative securities to generate commissions, breached fiduciary duty, made unauthorized transactions and sold unsuitable investments. He was also charged with allegedly making unauthorized trades on margin with the intent to generate commissions and was charged with criminal mischief in the third degree in the First District Court of Nassau County. Mr. Smookler pled guilty to the charge of disorderly conduct.

Smookler was registered with Kensington Wells Incorporated from July 1996 until December 1996, D.L. Cromwell Investments in Boca Raton, Florida from January 1997 until January 1998, J. Banks Company in Boca Raton from January 1999 until May 1999, FAS Wealth Management Services in Sarasota, Florida from April 1999 until July 1999, Magnum Securities of New York Inc. in New York, New York from September 1999 until October 1999, S.W. Bach & Company in Port Washington, New York from January 2000 until April 2001, First Allied Securities in San Diego, California from May 2001 until December 2001, Brookville Capital Partners in Melville, New York from July 2003 until March 2013 and Tryco Securities in Melville from March 2015 until March 2015. He is currently registered with Legend Securities in Syosset, New York and has been since April 2015. He has 12 customer disputes against him and one criminal.
