Stoltmann Law Offices is investigating Patrick Combs, a former IMS Securities broker in Houston, Texas. Mr. Combs was accused of participating in a meeting between a firm customer and a professional athlete, who was performing work for a sports-drink company. He then sold the customer a convertible promissory note. For this, Combs was fined $7,500 and suspended for seven months. He also allegedly “misrepresented a non-broker affiliated investment,” and “used a personal email to facilitate a private investment for a firm client.” For this, he was terminated from IMS Securities.
Mr. Combs was registered with Morgan Stanley in Houston, Texas from June 2005 until April 2007, Morgan Stanley in Arlington, Texas from April 2007 until June 2009, Morgan Stanley in Southlake, Texas from June 2009 until March 2016 and IMS Securities in Houston from March 2016 until April 2016. He has one customer dispute pending against him. He is currently not registered within the industry and has been suspended.
