Recently, Ronald Warren Powell, a Muscle Shoals, Alabama man was charged with insurance fraud and financial exploitation of an elderly person. The Alabama Department of Insurance claims that Powell gained control of millions of dollars under false pretenses from elderly victims who thought they were buying insurance policies, but Powell allegedly forged their signatures in order for the money to be diverted to him. Previously, Powell had been barred from selling financial securities in 2015 by the Alabama Securities Commission. He was indicted on one count of first-degree insurance fraud and one count of financial exploitation of an elderly person. Please call our securities law firm today if you suffered losses with Mr. Powell.
