
Stoltmann Law Offices is investigating Darnell A. Deans, a former registered representative with Garden State Securities (GSS). In June 2013, the State of New Jersey entered a Summary Revocation and Penalty Order against him for violations related to borrowing funds from customers of GSS and failing to disclose tax liens. He was fined $37,500 an suspended from the industry in all capacities for two and a half years. He allegedly borrowed $266,000 from two firm customers without seeking or obtaining the firm’s approval for the loans. This is against securities rules and regulations.
Deans was registered with Berkeley Securities Corporation in New York, New York from January 1992 until April 1992, J. Gregory & Company from April 1992 until September 1993, Commonwealth Associates in New York from February 1995 until June 1995, H.J. Meyers & Co. in Rochester, New York from June 1995 until October 1998, Josephthal & Co. in New York, New York from September 1998 until January 2002, Oppenheimer & Co in New York from January 2002 until Jnauary 2005, Garden State Securities in New York from January 2005 until November 2013 and John Carris Investments in New York from January 2014 until June 2014. He is currently registered with Blackbook Capital in New York and has been since June 2014. He has three customer disputes against him.
