Troy Baldridge, a former financial advisor at Capital Securities Management in Virginia, was sentenced to 41 months in prison. Mr. Baldridge was accused of embezzling more than $500,000 from clients, most of them elderly and retired. Mr. Baldridge allegedly transferred funds from his client investment accounts between September 2011 and July 2016 by forging signatures. He also lied about the suspicious transactions. These are against securities rules and he was barred from the industry in 2016. He will pay more than $500,000 to his clients.

According to his online Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA) BrokerCheck report, Baldridge was registered with IDS Life Insurance Company, American Express, Branch, Cabell & Co., Tucker Anthony Inc., RBC Dain Rauscher, Anderson & Strudwick Inc., Capitol Securities & Associates in Glen Allen, Virginia from May 2011 until December 2012 and Capitol Securities Management in Glen Allen from August 2007 until August 2016. He has one customer dispute against him and has been barred from the industry.
